Eliza, a native of Butler County was born 17 November 1822 to John and Elizabeth ... McGeorge. She married Anthony Ramsey and resided in Cranberry Township all her life. She had 8 children. She is listed in the 1850 census as being 27 years old with children Elizabeth age 2 and Mary Jane 4 months old. In the 1860 census she is 37 with 5 children. The 1870 census lists her at age 47 with 6 children at home. The 1880 census lists her as age 57: also listed is her sister in law, Jane McGeorge (age 38), who worked as a domestic servant. Eliza died 18 December 1884 at the age of 62, just about 4 years after her husband's death. Burial was in the Ramsey Cemetery outside of Evans City. Children: Elizabeth, Mary Jane, Addison, John A., Euphemia, Ellie A. or Ella, Edwin S., Baxter R.
