Blanche Eva Hesselgesser Westerman

Blanche Eva Westerman was the 5th child of Ellis Hesselgesser and the 5th child born to Sarah Elizabeth McGinnis. Blanche Eva was born 28 Feb 1888 in Leasureville, PA when Minnie Etta was 8 years old, Edward Thomas was 6 years old, Nellie was 4 years old and Emma Jane was 2 years old. Blanche Eva married Raymond Clifford Westerman on 1914 at the age of ???. . Blanche Eva died 6 May 1978 at the age of 90.

Biography/Pictures

Blanche married Raymond Westerman and they lived in Cooperstown (Valencia) for 48 years. They became members of First United Presbyterian Church, Bakerstown in 1944/5. Even with a large family (five children), she and Raymond took in three court children and raised them. The Barker parents died leaving Kate, Betty and Jack (one year younger than Tom Taylor). Betty was a short, pleasant girl and married Buck Barker, who was nicknamed "Bow-wow Barker".
