In 1851, Washington and Tacy emigrated to Jackson Co., Iowa, and settled in Farmer's Creek Township. Mr. Teter owns 122 acres of land. Politically, he is in sympathy with the National Greenback movement. (from The History of Jackson County (Iowa), pub. 1879)
