Gut and Psychology Syndrome by Dr. Natasha Campbell-McBride MD, MMedSci(neurology), MMedSci(nutrition). Natural treatment for Autism, Dyspraxia, ADD, Dyslexia, ADHD, Depression and Schizophrenia. This is a great book to introduce gut health and the importance of the gut biome in treating a variety of dis-eases. Great explanation of the GAPS diet. Available at Green Pasture, Chelsea Green Publishing or Amazon.com. There are numerous reviews out on the web regarding the GAPS diet from a variety of perspectives.

Self Heal By Design by Barbara O'Neill. Insight into the human body and the symbiosis that has been largely neglected by the approach of western specialized medical practice. It is good to get into the weeds of a complex system, but this can result in wrong ideas of how the system as a whole actually functions and responds to its external environment. This book is available from the author's website and as  Kindle download from Amazon.com.

Healing Is Voltage by Jerry Tennent, MD, MD(H), PSc.,D. Chronic illness has causes, and our western based trauma care health care system while great for trauma care, is far behind other countries that have embraced other modalities of health care for chronic illness. This book explains the source of chronic illnesses and practices that have been successful in healing various chronic illnesses. I was happy to find out that the clinic where Dr. Tennent practices is based in Irving, TX. I just received this book on Nov 2, 2025 and already think this will be one of, if not the most important medical book I will read in my lifetime. I purchased mine from Amazon.com, but the clinic website is on the web, and there is a great interview with Ana Maria Mihalcea, MD, PhD that introduces the health modality that Dr. Tennent has researched, partnered with and promoted in his career that saved his life, when he was expected not to live past 50. He is now 84.

Incurable Me by K. P. Stoller, MD. Why the best medical research does not make it into clinical practice. If you want to understand some of medicine's most closely guarded secrets that directly expose your health when making medical decisions, this is a must read. The adage that you can't know what you don't know applies even more to the medical environment we live in today. This book is available as an eBook from Kobo.com and Amazon.com as a Kindle download or book. If you want to get a taste of Dr. Stoller's credentials and his research, check out this YouTube video, especially what he says between the 15 and 18 minute section of the interview regarding Lyme disease.

The Complete Guide To Fasting by Jason Fung, MD. What does fasting have to do with your health? A lot more than I thought at one time. The best book I have found explaining the different types of fasting (intermittent, alternate-day, extended), their benefits and the risks. Great research on different cultures approach to fasting, and what to expect with each approach to fasting. This is a doctor that has spent his life studying and evaluating how to receive the maximum benefit from fasting. This book is available from the author's website and Amazon.com.

World Without Cancer by G. Edward Griffen. This book can begin your journey out of the dark ages of modern cancer research and methods. It can be found on many websites, ordered from many places, and is probably already in your city library. There are videos and other books that are also available that go into even more detail of the premise of the book from the author's website. Amazon.com, Biblio.com, Google books are just a few of the many websites where you will find this book. G. Edward Griffen is the founder of Red Pill University, which has extensive research on many different subjects and an annual conference that presents content from people that have much to say about human health and a variety of other topics.

The Immortal Mind by Michael Egnor and Denyse O'Leary. This book (check it out at the author's website) is a neurosurgeon's case for the existence of the soul. Dr. Michael Egnor, practicing neurosurgeon, neuroscientist and Professor of Neurosurgery at Stony Brook University, makes the case—based on 40 years of practice and over 7,000 brain surgeries—that science has gotten it all wrong. The human brain is incredible, mysterious, and powerful. But it’s not what makes us who we are. The soul does that. Drawing on the most important research studies in neuroscience, Dr. Egnor presents evidence that the brain alone does not explain the mind. This book provides a baseline for why our thoughts and emotions may contribute more to our bodies health than medical practices with the philosophy of "pop a pill to fix an ill" have suggested to people misled by that concept of health.

Germs Are Not Our Enemy by Marizelle Arce, N.D. This isn’t just a book; it’s a dialogue. A chance to rethink health in ways that resonate with our true nature. You’ll discover how to foster a thriving environment for your body, nurture your well-being, and embrace a life where health is a journey, not a destination. If you’re curious about a fresh perspective on health, ready to break free from outdated paradigms with effects you see in the friends around you that are willing to subject their bodies to "modern" remedies that lower their quality of life and necessitate their mandatory use of pharmaceuticals; if you are willing and eager to embrace the power of your own terrain, this journey is the "road less traveled that has made all the difference in the world" as the poet Robert Frost quipped. The author's website is a good place to start on this journey prior to reading this book.
