Anita Jeane Force was the 1st child of Lawrence Armstrong Sr. and the 1st child born to Lennie Beatrice Miller. Anita Jeane was born 01 Oct 1932 in Fort Worth, TX. Anita Jeane married Fred Force on 31 Jul 1964 at the age of 32. . Anita Jeane died 26 Nov 2021 at the age of 89.

Arlington, Texas - Anita “Nita” Jean Force passed away after a short illness on Nov. 26, 2021.

Nita was born in Fort Worth, Texas on Oct. 1, 1932 to Lawrence H. and Lennie B. (Miller) Armstrong. Nita was a graduate of Paschal High School, class of 1950. On July 31, 1964, she married the love of her life, Fred Force. Nita was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Arlington, Texas. She cherished her husband, her daughters and loved all her family very much. She doted on every child born into the family, and she shared a particularly special bond with her only grandchild, Lisa Marie, to whom she was very devoted.

Nita was preceded in death by her daughter, Norma Hammond; parents, Lawrence and Lennie Armstrong; brother, Larry Armstrong; and sister, Margie Sue Majors.

Nita enjoyed researching genealogy, and spent hundreds of hours documenting her research, collecting old photos and tracking down records. She also enjoyed photography, and loved sharing her photos of family and places she and Fred visited on social media. She was skilled in many crafts, including knitting, crocheting, cross-stich, and painting, and donated many of her hand-made items to Mission Arlington. All of her friends and family have received gifts of her handiwork over the years. She loved collecting decorative crystal and cut-glass items. Nita’s house sparkled with the tasteful displays of her collectibles.

Nita is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, Fred P. Force of Arlington, Texas; daughters, Cathy Chamberlain (Mark) of Sallisaw, Okla., and Leah Force of Waco, Texas; granddaughter, Lisa Minnear (Bryan) of Astoria, Ore.; sister, Linda Tyson of Weatherford, Texas; and many nieces, nephews and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
